Yahoo! News: Observers among Italian bishops say there's "no doubt" Pope Francis performed an exorcism after celebrating Mass Sunday in St. Peter's square

Observers among Italian bishops say there's "no doubt" Pope Francis performed an exorcism after celebrating Mass Sunday in St. Peter's square. The pope laid his hands on the head of a young man in a wheelchair (photo), who then heaved deeply six or seven times and slumped back in his chair. The Vatican, though not issuing a flat denial, said the pope was ministering to someone who was sick -- part of the job. But Satan has been something of a frequent subject of discussion for Francis, which, say experts, is a reflection of his Jesuit spirituality and his Latin American roots. He once wrote a book chapter that said Satan's "fruits" are "destruction, division, hatred and calumny."
