THE United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is urging the Government to grant paternity leave to working fathers of newborns as national debate heightens on the topic.UNDP Resident Representative Bruno Pouezat, in a media release yesterday, disclosed that that programme has adopted the gender-inclusive policy at its Jamaica country office and across the world with good results.

THREE months after 14-year-old Yetanya Francis was raped and murdered in Trench Town, St Andrew, a man who had fled the community was picked up in Trelawny. Yesterday, a police source told the Jamaica Observer that the Trench Town man, who was taken to Denham Town Police Station on Monday, he was questioned and blood samples taken from him and sent to the forensic lab on Tuesday.
