The opening reception of the 'Caribbean Canvases and Frames' exhibition of Caribbean Artists and Photographers will be this late afternoon at the Ansin Family Art Gallery at the Miramar Cultural Center. Curator Margaret Bernal summed up the Caribbean exhibit through the words of legendary Jamaican musician Bob Marley, saying, “…half the story has never been told,” while tapestry creator Lorna Ramlochansingh added, “the story of our people, our journey and our experience lives through our work.”
The OAS will culminate its Caribbean Heritage showcase with an event bringing together members of the diplomatic corps, the Caribbean Diaspora and members of the private sector on June 20, 2013 at 6pm in the Hall of the Americas of the main building of the organization.
